Primary Description: 
Bottle. Translucent deep green; numerous bubbles. Body and foot blown in mold with two vertical sections; applied. Bottle: roughly globular. Rim is irregular horizontal flange with rounded edge; neck is tall and narrow cylinder, slightly wider at bottom than at top; shoulder slopes and merges with wall, which curves down, out, and in; base has straight side, rounded at bottom, with concave underside, which has concentric groove (D. 4.3 cm); pontil mark (D. 2.1 cm). Applied decoration near bottom of neck consists of three trails making irregular openwork zigzag between two continuous horizontal ribs. Mold-blown decoration consists of four continuous friezes separated by single horizontal ribs and with additional horizontal rib beneath lowest frieze (from top to bottom): (1) 12 contiguous downward-pointing tongue-shaped elements; (2) continuous vegetal scroll with nine elaborate leaves or flowers; (3) Kufic inscription, translated as "And to the owner happiness and blessing and joy"; and (4) continuous vegetal scroll.
