Enameled Goblet. Colorless, with grayish tinge; translucent blue. Mold-blown; tooled, enameled, gilded. Slightly bulging cylindrical bowl, with slightly sagging base, set directly on tall, mold-blown (17 ribs) pedestal foot with ribbon of translucent dark blue applied to rim and with pontil mark in apex. Second gather applied to bowl and mold-blown (12 ribs) a mezza stampatura, then pinched together at intervals to give two registers of nipt-diamond waies. Around base of bowl, applied and notched band of colorless glass. Ribs of bowl are gilded; color combinations are white surrounding blue, red surrounding green, and blue surrounding red. Above, in spaces between conjoined ribs, large green dots were painted. Below rim is formal border of ovals scratched in gold, enclosing circles of white enamel dots with red dot in each center; above and below this border are rows of blue dots on gold and of white dots on glass. At bottom of this frieze is row of red dots spaced at twice interval used for white dots. Lower edge of gold area was scratched out into border of rectangular lappets.
