Colorless lead glass, metal, plastic, (b) steel, fabric; lenses cast, ground, polished, assembled; (b) assembled. (a) Flat spherical lenses, ground for bifocals, rimmed in stamped gold rims with ornamental bridge stamped "1/10 12K G.F." and plastic nosepieces, hinged to flat legs curved back. (b) Clamshell type metal case covered with a silvery woven fabric and lined with blue velvet. Metal label inside lid of case with "H.B.COPELAND/OPTOMETRIST/ELMIRA, N.Y." above handwritten number "235 36S".
