Fragment of Rim of Stained Vessel. Transparent deep blue glass, silver stain; blown, stained. Rim fragment of a silver-stained blue vessel. Upright rounded rim, straight wall, possibly of a beaker. Silver-stained decoration on exterior in a band of swirls at the rim, with a cluster of dots beneath. Silver-stained interior consists of a wide band at the rim and indistinct blob behind the dots. The top of the rim is blue and not stained, indicating that the stain was deliberately applied to the interior and is not a run-off from the front. Mended from five fragments.
