Primary Description:
Almost colorless, with greenish yellow tinge; many small and minute bubbles, and few impurities. Blown; facet- and linear-cut. Bottle with globular body. Rim plain, with flat top; neck cylindrical; wall curves out, down, and in; base has tubular foot-ring made by folding; no pontil mark. Decorated on neck and wall. On neck: five continuous horizontal bands (from top to bottom): (1) plain, (2) row of four square facets, (3) six rhomboidal facets forming continuous band of tall, narrow chevrons, (4) row of four square facets, and (5) four tall rectangular facets; bands 1–3 are separated by continuous grooves, with additional grooves above (1) and below (3). On wall: continuous frieze framed at top and bottom by narrow bands of linear-cut chevrons with double lines, contained within grooves, and with additional groove above upper band. Frieze contains 10 contiguous oval motifs with double outlines; each oval contains six short vertical cuts and has two horizontal cuts where it meets its neighbors; spaces above and below each junction are filled with one short horizontal cut and one longer arc-shaped cut.
