Primary Description: 
Colorless lead glass; blown and engraved. Bucket bowl engraved with ivy leaves around a building with a tower and inscription "OLD STATE HOUSE/PROVIDENCE/RHODE ISLAND DECLARATION/OF INDEPENDENCE/4TH MAY 1776" below. Engraved shield with anchor and "STATE OF/RHOD SLAND" at top of shield "HOPE" and "PROVIDENCE FOUNDED BY/ROGER WILLIAMS/1636" below shield. Shields labeled "PROVIDENCE", "PORTSMOUTH", "NEWPORT", and "WARWICK" and inscription "COLONY OF/PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS/1663 /STATE OF/RHODE ISLAND AND/PROVIDENCE PLANTATION/1774". Applied stem with spherical knop in center and applied circular foot with rough pontil mark underneath and "1636/1936" on top surface and "Special Fifty Request Edition" around pontil.
