Pitcher. Colorless glass with small bubbles; blown, applied. Pitcher with truncated conical body. Rim plain, with rounded lip; neck straight and tapering; wall straight and splayed before curving sharply in and down, near bottom; base is plain, with splayed foot ring made by folding and small kick at center; pontil mark annular (D. 1.2 cm), placed over small blob of glass. Applied decoration on neck and wall. On neck: one continuous horizontal trail near top and trail wound twice around circumference near bottom. On wall: single register bordered at top and bottom by continuous horizontal zigzag pattern resting on two parallel trails; register contains continuous pattern of narrow loops, similar to sine wave, sides of which are alternately plain and undulating; near bottom of wall, at greatest diameter, one continuous horizontal trail. Handle, added after decoration had been completed, was constructed from six bits. It extends from lower wall to upper neck (from bottom to top): (1) shaped like upper case omega (Ω); (2) shaped like link of chain, attached to (1); (3) resembles (2), to which it is attached; (4) shaped like narrow upper case M, formed by dropping bit onto one side of (3), drawing it in to touch neck, then out to touch top of (3), in again to neck, and out to opposite side of (3); (5) and (6) form thumb rest; they are attached to top of (4), drawn up, joined at top, and pinched twice.
