Primary Description: 
Opalescent cream-colored lead glass; blown, etched, stained (?). Shallow, circular shape, folded rim; curved sides; the inside with acid-etched and brown-stained decoration in three concentric zones, the outer band with elaborately scrolled foliage, with four elaborate panels with shell borders, containing elaborate scrollwork; the second band with a continuous pattern of stylized flowers and foliage; the inner circle with a band of scales encircling a band of scrolls, with a stylized eight-petaled flower in the center; the background stained red-brown; polished concave pontil mark on the back; etched circular mark on the back, "THOMAS WEBB & SONS.LIMITED." in a ring around a plain disk. The design for this plate is listed in Grover, English Cameo Glass (1980), p. 225 (design no. I262) and illustrated on page 369, design S407.
