Colorless non-lead glass; silver decoration; stainless steel; black plastic; black rubber; white metal; mold-blown by machine, screen printed, pressed; a) bulbous lower bowl; flared rim, machine finished edge and pinched lip; concave neck with two piece plastic collar around it, collar secured by metal band wrapped around channel at top of collar, "TRADE MARK/SILEX/REG. U. S. PAT. OFF/PATS. APPD. FOR" stamped into one side of band, "U. S. PAT. NOS. 1859614. /OTHER PATS. PEND. " stamped into opposite side of band; handle opposite pinched lip, is rounded up then down and out, attached to neck of bowl by metal band and screws; bowl tapered out to midway point, then rounded in to base; three silver colored bands above midway point around circumference of body, SILEX trademark stamped twice near top of bowl by collar, stamps opposite each other; flat circular base; b) bulbous upper bowl; machine finished rim; short cylindrical neck; body rounded out then in, three silver colored bands above midway point around circumference of bowl, "PYREX® / BRAND / GLASSWARE / MADE IN U. S. A. / FOR / THE SILEX CO. " stamped twice in green above bands, stamps opposite each other; bowl rounded in at bottom to short cylindrical insert; bottom of insert flared into hollow cylindrical stem in center, stem extends down, is open at both ends; rubber collar around insert, "P-251-A" and "PAT. NO. 2032317 G" molded into collar near top; c) cylindrical filter rod; tall hexagonal rod with flared in rounded top, extends up from center of hexagonal base, "PYREX® R [in circle]" molded into one side of rod; base of greater diameter than rod, top of base flat, bottom of base rough and flared in to short thin threaded cylindrical rod with rounded end, metal spring around threaded portion, metal ball chain hanging off end of spring.
