Web Description: 
Littleton, a pioneer in the use of glass as a material for sculpture, was a ceramist before he turned his attention to glassblowing. He was the first professor to set up a glass program (at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1963), and he championed the introduction of glass in art school and university curricula.
