Transparent dark blue lead glass; blown, cut, gilt. (a) Flattened oval shape; short, cylindrical neck with copper sleeve; ground for a stopper (b); rounded shoulders with gilt foliate decoration; straight sides covered with hollow-cut diamond facets and gilt decoration, on one side an exotic bird sitting on a stump with branches of foliage in the background, with a ribband above, inscribed "MARQUE/DE MON/AMOUR"; the facets on the side outlined in gilding; on the back, outlined with dotted lines, with gilt arrows at the corners; polished, flat base. (b) Ground, tapered shank; flat stopper with rounded profile.
