Silver; pressed. Circular medallion. Front decorated with sitting woman dressed in toga facing left; bridge with train and partial building in background; gears, tools and shield in foreground; inscription reads, "BE JUST AND / FEAR NOT" on banner and "F.N. MITCHELL SC" near bottom. Reverse inscription reads, "MASSACHUSETTS CHARITABLE MECHANIC ASSOCIATION FOUNDED 1795 INCOR 1806" around edge; center text reads, "AWARD TO / New England / Glass Co. / for / CUT AND PLATED / Glass Ware / Exhibition of / 1856".
