Opaque white, dark blue non-lead glasses; blown, overlay, cameo- carved. (a) Hemispherical form; blue overlay on opaque white; carved plain blue rim; carved band of flowers and foliate scrolls; band of petals at the base; disk foot with recessed center; inscribed "S1859" in dark green. (b) Carved wood stand, with recessed, circular top; pierced sides with short curved feet; stamped "MADE IN/JAPAN" on the bottom.
