Clear heavy glass with a pale amethystine tinge; wear marks at base and rim; free blown and diamond point engraved; heavy flat foot with rough pontil mark, hollow egg-knop stem containing a silver half dime dated 1838, straight sided bowl with wide flaring rim; on the bowl below rim in diamond point engraving: "G&I Noble Liverpool 1838" within crude leaf sprays.
