The most popular Art Glass made by Mt. Washington, in production from 1885 until 1895, was Burmese glass. This opalescent glass shaded from pink to yellow glass. Some pieces of Burmese ware were plain, but many had added decoration, like this lamp with enameled fish. A huge array of shapes were made of Burmese glass. The name was created by the company and had nothing to do with the country of Burma, but exotic names were popular at the time.
