Biography: Andrea C. Blum

Andrea C. Blum

Andrea C. Blum graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Design degree and attended Kansas City and San Francisco Art Institutes where she learned the art of stained glass. She has made her living from her stained glass practice for the past four decades. More than 2,500 students have benefitted from Blum’s stained glass classes for Minneapolis Public Schools Adult Education and the University of Minnesota. Blum received The American Swedish Institute's Lilly Lorenzen Scholarship enabling first-hand research of Swedish glass factories and artists. She began volunteering with The American Swedish Institute in 1977, and has worked with their glass collection for more than 40 years.
