Biography: Cat Burns

Cat Burns
Cat Burns

Cat Burns fell in love with glass the minute she realized it was possible to make art with fire. She gained most of her technical skills through various glass production jobs, and learned how to channel creativity through her associate degrees in Glass Fine Art and in Glass Craft and Design from Salem Community College. Burns worked as a full-time assistant to other glass artists in the Philadelphia area and taught a range of classes at East Falls Glass Works before moving to Corning, N.Y., in 2013 to continue growing as an artist. She is currently a Studio Assistant at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass and sells a mix of production pieces and one-of-a-kind works.
