David O. Brown

David Owen Brown works worldwide as a producer, videographer, photographer and lecturer specializing in wildlife, environmental and water topics. He holds degrees from Cornell University and the Brooks Institute of Photography. His work has aired on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, the Discovery Channel, and National Geographic television. His award-winning photography has appeared in numerous museum exhibits and publications, including imagery for the Smithsonian's Ocean Planet and Ocean Hall, the American Museum of Natural History’s Water display and in the New York Times. He has authored a variety of articles, two children's books, and was as a consultant for National Geographic’s "The World's Wild Shores."

In 2014-2015, he produced, wrote and directed Fragile Legacy, winner of the Best Short Film category in Monaco’s Blue Ocean Film Festival and humanitarian awards in both the Best Shorts and Global Film Awards competitions. The film will also accompany exhibits in the Corning Museum of Glass, Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Smithsonian.
