Dr. Drew Harvell

Dr. Drew Harvell is a professor of marine ecology and biodiversity at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Currently she is studying the ecology and evolution of coral resistance to disease and the impact of global warming on coral reefs. Dr. Harvell’s work has taken her to the Mexican Yucatan, Florida Keys, Hawaii, and Indonesia. She has been a featured expert in national and international media, and had published widely on marine biology, including her most recent book, A Sea of Glass: Searching for the Blaschkas' Fragile Legacy in an Ocean at Risk, published in March 2016.
