Biography: Grace DiCrescentis

Grace DiCrescentis
Name:
Grace DiCrescentis

At age 6, Grace DiCrescentis knew that she wanted to be a glass artist. Growing up in Italy, DiCrescentis was exposed to beautiful art glass when she visited the island of Murano near Venice. When an Italian glassmaker gave her a piece of zanfirico, her fate was sealed. DiCrescentis creates colorful blown vessels, including whimsical interpretations of aliens and monsters.

As an undergraduate at the University of Denver, DiCrescentis did an internship for Corey Silverman, a glass artist in Lakewood, Colorado. She later transferred to Alfred University in New York in 2015, where she studied glassblowing with Angus Powers.
