Blending traditional and unconventional flameworking techniques, students are encouraged to explore the material and expand their artistic vocabulary. Looking to the Museum’s collection for inspiration, the class will focus on translating ideas into hollow borosilicate forms. A wide range of topics, including composition and design, seals, bridging, inside sculpture, and much more will be covered. Each student is encouraged to develop their own unique style. Students should have at least one year flameworking experience.
