Season:
Spring
Technique:
Kiln Working
Level:
All Levels
Duration:
Weekend Workshop

Students will have an opportunity to cut and assemble beautiful mosaic designs out of glass. The projects will then be "grouted" with powdered glass enamels. Once the glass is fired in a kiln, the results reveal a mosaic piece with an added benefit of a smooth finish. The class will focus on cutting techniques, composition, and the use of color. Students will have the option to alter the shape of final pieces by slumping them into three-dimensional molds. All skill levels are welcome.

For the wellbeing of all students and staff, The Studio workshops have been modified, class capacity has been reduced, and sanitizing and social distancing protocols have been introduced. Detailed information about these measures can be found on The Studio Health and Safety page.
