Glass is Half Full

April 10 - 11, 2021 9:00am to 4:00pm
Weekend Workshop

This class will focus on our new, current state of mechanical inflation and ways to challenge ourselves in new design aspects that encompass solid and blown work. Students should be prepared to work in a solo capacity with designs that explore an approach that is completely different and self-challenging. One year of glassblowing experience is required, advanced students are also welcome.

For the wellbeing of all students and staff, The Studio workshops have been modified, class capacity has been reduced, and sanitizing and social distancing protocols have been introduced. Detailed information about these measures can be found on The Studio Health and Safety page.

Students registered for this class must comply with the New York State COVID-19 Travel Advisory and Museum guidelines. Because NY State strongly discourages non-essential interstate travel this class is currently only open to NY State residents. If this class is full or if you are an out-of-state resident, please email [email protected] with your name and phone number to be added to the waiting list. A health questionnaire and temperature scan will be required before attending class. Please call +1 607.438.5100 with any questions.
