This intensive two-day class offers a unique approach to learning the processes of kiln casting glass. Students will develop knowledge in formulating and using mold recipes for glass casting, preparing firing programs for specific kilns and works. Demonstrations will guide students while encouraging them to apply their own ideas to set projects and tasks. During the class there will also be time to discuss approaches to reflective thinking that help develop each artist’s voice. Some experience with glass, ceramics, or sculpture is required. Intermediate and advanced students are also welcome.

For the wellbeing of all students and staff, The Studio workshops have been modified, class capacity has been reduced, and sanitizing and social distancing protocols have been introduced. Detailed information about these measures can be found on The Studio Health and Safety page.
