This course is for those who are looking to expand their existing lathe working experience. The class will participate in a discussion on flameworking history, borosilicate and the scientific revolution, and role which the glass lathe plays in both science and art. We will demo scientific flameworking techniques and traditional artistic flameworking approaches. Students will create works that fuse artistic tradition and scientific technique together into functional works of art.

This class is ideal for intermediate and advanced flameworking students.
