Weekend at Murrines…
Classes
This weekend class will break down the process of making hot glass murrine in three steps: pulling canes, bundling the canes into a cluster to form a pattern, and pulling the bundle into a bar of murrine. This murrine can then be used in the hot shop again, in kiln work, or even at the torch! Some hot glass experience is required. Advanced students are also welcome.
For the wellbeing of all students and staff, The Studio workshops have been modified, class capacity has been reduced, and sanitizing and social distancing protocols have been introduced. Detailed information about these measures can be found on The Studio Health and Safety page.
Students registered for this class must comply with the New York State COVID-19 Travel Advisory and Museum guidelines. If this class is full or if you are an out-of-state resident, we encourage you to email [email protected] with your name and phone number to be added to the waiting list. A health questionnaire and temperature scan will be required before attending class. Please call +1 607.438.5100 with any questions.
