Retail eCommerce Photographer Internship

Overview

The Corning Museum of Glass seeks an eCommerce intern to assist with digital photo cropping, coordinating product photography, and overall merchandising maintenance of our retail website, shops.cmog.org. Interns will gain valuable insight into managing an eCommerce site and working as a part of a professional retail team. This position will be part-time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic website management tasks and be largely involved in the assistance of all photography and photo shoot needs
  • Organize inventory for photo shoots
  • Assist with day-to-day order management
  • Download and organize assets from various locations to upload on retail site
  • Monitor site content for grammar, spelling, and proper functionality

  • Learn about “product shot” photography of glass objects and digital file management

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, punctual, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week for a 4-month period
  • A student or recent graduate with a major concentration in Photography, Graphic Design, Art, or Marketing (preferred)
