Behind the Glass: In-Cider Information

The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and The Corning Museum of Glass present Behind the Glass: In-Cider Information on Thursday, September 14.

New York is the second largest apple-producing region in the United States. The cideries in this state are doing amazing things with apples, drawing international attention and acclaim in recent years. Pair this with the Museum’s talented glassmakers, and you have the planted the seeds for a fantastic collaboration to create the perfect glass for enjoying hard cider.

We will unveil ciders and their custom-made glasses, learn about the history of apples and cider in the region from Maria Kennedy of The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, and hear local cider-makers and CMoG’s glass artists talk about their collaboration in a panel discussion. Enjoy a free cider tasting and live folk music in the Courtyard at 7:30 pm.

All lectures are free and open to the public. Watch past lectures on our YouTube Channel.

Museum Members at the Donor level and above ($135+) are invited to come early for a private reception at 5:30 pm. Please RSVP by September 7 to (607) 438-5600 or membership@cmog.org.
