Corning Stories

On Saturday, May 5 the Museum will record your stories as part of Crystal City Saturday, a celebration of Corning's history. Sharing your stories helps us capture the narratives and memories that are a part of weaving our unique historical tapestry.

What do you need to know about sharing your stories?

Long, short, funny, serious, we want all kinds of stories and we know that the Finger Lakes region is full of them. If you share your story with us, we'll send you home with a recording as a souvenir of the day.

Dress casually – you won't be on camera, we'll only be recording your voice.

How long does it take? As long as it takes to tell your story. Our set up process is very minimal.

We love local stories, the everyday ones that are told again and again. But, we aren't just interested in glass or Corning-specific stories. You don't need to make an appointment, and admission to the Museum is free that day. So just come and tell your story. We'll take care of the rest.
