Live-Streamed Guest Artist Demonstration: James Mongrain

See guest artist James Mongrain during a live, narrated demonstration in the Amphitheater Hot Shop on January 14 from 1 to 4 pm.

James Mongrain was born in Minnesota and introduced to glass while attending Moorhead State University. He was able to study under his brother, Jeff Mongrain, an internationally known artist. Though he’s studied and worked all around the country, one thing remains constant for Mongrain; his proficiency and talent for goblet making. He focuses on the technicality of the traditional Venetian technique, an aesthetic that continues to be his muse.

See master gaffer James Mongrain and our Hot Glass Demonstration team explore the traditional Venetian and Italian forms during Mongrain’s extended stay as a guest artist in our Amphitheater Hot Shop.

These demos are included in the cost of admission (kids and teens 17 and under are free).

Unable to watch the live stream? Each demonstration will be added to our YouTube channel. See the full listing of past live-streamed demonstrations, and check back for new videos soon.
