Flameworker Jim Byrnes teaches students in his class the skills for solid sculpting, hollow ware, straight seals, and pulling points. Get an insider’s view in to his processes during this live stream from his class Flameworkers Blow Glass Too! on July 31.

When not teaching at The Studio, Byrnes works out of his studio in Pennsylvania where he makes sculptural ornaments and vessels.

Jim Byrnes began his career in glass as a scientific glassblowing apprentice in 1979 and earned a living making laboratory equipment for 30 years. More artist than scientist by nature, he has always enjoyed the decorative possibilities of flameworking.
