Glass sculpture featuring a human figure wearing a colorful headdress and holding a globe sits cross-legged on a multi-colored, two-headed turtle

Heavily influenced by marine life and the natural world, artist Joe Peters demonstrates for students in his class how to create detailed sculptures of animals, plants and humans in borosilicate. Get an insider’s view during this live stream from his class Form Meets Function on August 14.

When not teaching at The Studio, Peters creates functional sculptures that are colorful and playful and are often inspired by the creatures he sees while SCUBA diving.

No registration or fee is required to watch this portion of the class. Watch on cmog.org or The Corning Museum of Glass Facebook page when the event is live.

Unable to watch the live stream? Each demo will be added to the Museum’s YouTube channel. See the full listing of past live streamed demonstrations, and check back for new videos soon.
