Amphitheater Hot Shop
|
June 13, 2019 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Nadine Saylor working with hot glass

See Guest Artist Nadine Saylor during a live, narrated demonstration in the Amphitheater Hot Shop on June 13 from 6 to 7:30 pm. Saylor is an expert in using the marver to make blown forms that are thin and delicate.

Saylor gets her inspiration from her home state of Pennsylvania. Her work ranges from sculptural depictions of housewares such as thimbles and watering cans to installations that interpret emotions in colors and reflections.

This demo is included in the cost of admission (kids and teens 17 and under are free).

Nadine Saylor

Nadine Saylor’s work investigates the rise and fall of the American economy while preserving its history in glass. “I like to think of my work as a time capsule that begins with a photograph or an antique,” Saylor explains.
