The Studio
January 23, 2019 11:00am to 12:00pm
Bundle of yellow and gray canes that will be used to make murrine.

Artist Penelope Rakov was recently an artist-in-residence at The Studio where she focused on making murrine. Now as an instructor at The Studio, Rakov is teaching her students how to create different styles of murrine and how colors work together. Watch this live stream from the class Maximum Murrine on January 23 to gain insight into creative murrine construction techniques.

When not teaching at The Studio, Rakov makes her own murrine for use in creating jewelry and other sculptural objects.

No registration or fee is required to watch this portion of the class. Watch on or The Corning Museum of Glass Facebook page when the event is live.

Unable to watch the live stream? Each demo will be added to the Museum’s YouTube channel. See the full listing of past live streamed demonstrations, and check back for new videos soon.
