Advertising card features colorful illustration of illuminated metal mortar finished in pure gold leaf and studded with imported convex glasses of ruby crystal and emerald.
Verso includes text detailing Illuminated mortar for day and night signage.
"Inventor, patentee and manufacturer of illuminated mortars, crystal primatic [sic] signs, gas and oil fixtures for drug stores a specialty" -- printed on verso.
Shakespeare quote along upper edge of verso: "For he doth give us bold advertisements".
