With the aid of a translator, Tamara Malinina discusses 19th and 20th century Russian glass, as represented in the Museum's exhibition "Russian glass of the 17th-20th centuries". She includes glass made at the Imperial Factory and at other factories, the variety of objects made (lamps, tables, etc.), as well as Russian upper class 19th century interiors. Following Malinina is David Whitehouse who gives a brief introduction to the work of the Blaschkas, and their lampworked models of sea creatures, in anticipation of the 1991 exhibition, "Nature's wonders in glass: the art of the Blaschkas".
