Notes:
Narrator and presenter, Ralph W. Preston.
Ralph Preston is seen assembling a model of a whaling ship called the Charles W. Morgan in a 72 liter Pyrex flask made by Corning Incorporated. Preston began work on this true to scale model in 1979. In this amateur home video, he is seen painstakingly assembling pieces of the ship inside the bottle, one at a time (narration by Preston was added at a later time). He concludes this portion of the video (34 min.) indicating that professional footage follows. Although the footage does not indicate which news show it was filmed from, the label on the VHS tape says "copy, copyrighted CBS". The news broadcaster indicated that this was the second largest ship in a bottle ever made, and that it was sent to the Berlin Museum for Transportation and Technology where it would be on display for 2 years.
