Stuart Reid, glass artist and professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U), Toronto, ON ; Patrick Reyntiens, English stained glass artist and founder of Burleighfield House.
Video recorded July 23-24, 2015, at Union Subway Station, Toronto.
Stuart Reid walks the viewer through the Union Subway Station in Toronto, describing the subway platform art project which he designed and made. "Zones of immersion" is a 7 foot tall, 500 foot long installation consisting of 167 glass panels created with the use of 25 different techniques. The second part of this recording (disc 2), Reid is accompanied by Patrick Reyntiens and Doreen Balabanoff as he goes into even more detail regarding this commission.

Stuart Reid was born in London Ontario. He holds a B.A. (fine arts) from the University of Guelph and a Masters of Architecture from UCLA. He is a proffessor at Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U), Toronto, ON. He studied with Patrick Reyntiens at Burleighfield House.
