Design drawing for vase with round body that narrows slightly at base and neck. Stylized floral decoration surrounds vase in two sections: lower section comprises white flowers on dark background and upper portion is opposite.
"Feb. 10. 31, B. M." penciled in on lower right corner.
Manikowski was hired by Frederick Carder around 1917 and in the early 1920s was promoted to foreman in the etching rooms. Though Manikowski created many designs himself, especially in the 1920s and early 1930s, he typically acid-etched Carder's designs. He continued his employment with Steuben in the Houghton era.
