Sets of these drawings are in the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg, and in the British Museum. The drawings are discussed by Robert Schmidt in the 1922 edition of Das Glas (p. 75). He believes that the monogrammist may be Polidoro da Caravaggio.
Photographs of drawings done by an Italian artist (Caravaggio?) in the second half of the 16th century. The drawings may be designs for gold or glass vessels.
A set of these prints is also dry-mounted and filed with the mounted photographs. That set is presently unlabeled, but the prints were made so that they show the monogram.
CMGL purchased the negatives from the British Museum in 1955.
