Photograph is of Elizabeth (Libby) Labino, seated, playing the glass harmonica for a group of people; Dominick Labino is among the group.
Dominick Labino studied the glass harmonica, or armonica, and reproduced tuned glass bowls for historical instruments at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and at The Corning Museum of Glass. He went on to build his own harmonica and other glass musical instruments that his wife would play for visitors.
