"Focus on Art" is a bi-weekly program on art and artists, produced by the Tompkins County Public Library, in cooperation with the Area Video Archives.
Theme music played by Pamela Cook Sobel.
Presented by Johnnie Parrish ; glass artist Thomas S. Buechner III.
Filmed at Vitrix Glass Studio, Corning, New York.
Tom S. Buechner III, discusses studio glass - his own background and studio, Littleton, and Labino. He then gives a tour of his studio - the furnace, color pot furnace, annealing oven, and glory hole. While he blows glass, he discusses how he obtains color, blocks the glass, uses jacks, applies bits, etc. A very good film.
