Leather bound ledger constructed with pink blotter pages between each leaf of ledger paper.
Only 18 leaves of the ledger have been used, with hinge at the head of the book. Loose recipe for White enamel laid inside back cover, along with a modern sales receipt.

According to v. 34 (Dec. 25, 1885) of the Journal of the Society of Arts, p. 115, W.H. Maltby was working in the terra cotta department of Lambeth Pottery in 1885. The 1900 U.S. Census lists his date of immigration as 1890.
William Henry Maltby was the paternal grandfather of Lucy Mary Maltby.
