A commissioned dance by Snappy Dance Theatre, based on the movements of glass blowers. In the first part of this video, Peter Ivy from Mass College of Art is working in his studio. Ivy served as an inspiration and study in the dance performance. The following segment is difficult to view because of low lighting levels. The dancers perform in the dark with blowpipes and detachable sculptures that glow. The dancers also employ a device whereby their mouths resemble glowing furnaces. The last part of the film, dancers are dressed in vivid colored costumes and dance without the use of props.
