This video documents some of the lectures and discussions of the H.C. Fry Glass Society's 1990 convention. Cliff Dietz facilitated taped segments on cut glass and on stem identification. Each talk was accompanied by a display of known Fry glassware as well as some mistakingly attributed to Fry. Also included: novelty glassware, kitchenware, black glass, unusual pieces, advertisements, acid etched ware, and more. Part of the discussions cover patterns, quality, designs pressed into glass prior to cutting, repairs, fakes, and glass made in the 1930s using Fry molds. A good deal of information was also provided by George Heymann who would clarify information presented. James Measell also would provide clairifications for some of the questions. At the end, results of the silent auction were given by George Heymann.
