The Corning Museum of Glass Hot Glass Show was officially launched on Celebrity Cruises on Friday, November 14. Celebrity Solstice(SM) was christened (using a bottle blown by Corning Museum of Glass gaffer Don Pierce with the aid of other Hot Glass Show staff, and filled with Finger Lakes sparkling wine). On Saturday, November 15, Richard Fain (chairman/CEO of Royal Caribbean), Dan Hanrahan (president of Celebrity Cruises), and Marie McKee (president of the Corning Museum) officially "opened" the Hot Glass Show with a molten glass ribbon cutting. This rough video shows footage of both ceremonies.
