Functional glassware and art sculptures of Hoya Crystal are featured. The viewer sees the process involved in making glass, from the design, to the melting of the batch (in the Crystal Fountain furnace), to blowing and working, annealing and cutting. There are many closeups of techniques and finished objects. Fumio Sasa, design leader of Hoya, has objects included in this film.
