Glass artists, Joan Levy, Mundy Hepburn.
Filmed in Killingworth, CT.
Glass artist Joan Levy makes landscape paintings out of the homemade glass that she and Mundy Hepburn make at their studio in Killingworth, CT. The first part of the film is devoted to her oil paintings, pastel drawings, bark paintings, and the landscape near her home. She also gives the viewer a tour of her glass studio and is shown working glass - gathering, marvering, and shaping, as she makes heavy abstract forms (assisted by Mundy Hepburn). This glass is then siliconed to wood panels and is then painted with oil paints.
