At the end of the war, the church of Villnauxe-la-Grande, in the small village of Champagne, was severely damaged, its windows destroyed. More than half a century later new stained glass windows are designed by British artist David Tremlett, designed by Benoît et Stéphanie Marcq (manufacturer of stained glass from France).
