Part of a group of letters written 1877-1880 between John Northwood I and Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, during which time Northwood polished the pottery editions of the Portland Vase.
Memo explains that drapery was mistakenly cut away under the arm of female figure sitting on rock and holding staff near handle in latest pottery copy of Portland Vase.
Reply, possibly copy, penciled in on right side of memorandum.
